During my undergrad I studied Communications. I highly enjoyed the program as there was a wide variety of courses that were engaging and informational. The courses were challenging as they forced you to work within diverse situations. For example, there was a small group communication class in which all projects and grades were a group effort. This greatly helped me in my field of work because I often worked with many different types of people. Overall, I really enjoyed the program.

ASU overall is a good school. However, the teachers aren't all that great. One in particular was the worst teacher I have ever taken classes from at any school across my entire life in school. When I filed a grievance they sided with him even after I provided proof. Then they tried to turn the whole thing around on me and out the blame on the student. Some of the professor are great but others are straight up crazy. They grade you down for honest mistakes, dont give good feedback and have PMS half... Read More the time. I started as a full-time, on-campus student during my first year as an undergraduate. The Downtown Phoenix campus is beautiful and full of culture. The resources offered in ways of technology, study rooms and libraries, classrooms, and the availability of entertainment and food made it a fun and exciting location. I married my second year of college, and decided to complete my degree online while working nearly full-time. The transition was smooth and simple. The online courses are just as interactive and educational as face-to-face courses; the same expectation of hard work is demanded by students, and professors are just as concerned for students' well-being. The availability of online courses made it easy to find relevant and interesting courses. Another important aspect regarding ASU has been their scholarship and financial resources. Their scholarship search website is what led me to this website; like most students, I am struggling to pay tuition. I am eternally grateful to ASU for leading me to resources to continue my education.

The Hugh Downs School's advisers are knowledgeable and extremely helpful when it comes to answering questions about staying on track for graduation. Overall, the institution offers a safe and friendly environment for students while still encouraging a level of professionalism and academic achievement.

ASU really felt like a place that wanted me to succeed. There were endless resources from the career coaches to the program advisor that made sure I was on the right track and taking the right classes to be able to graduate in four years. Attending ASU was one of the best decisions of my life. It was good to go right from high school into the college scene. ASU is a school which costs a bit of money, and the administration can be difficult to talk to at times, but once you get through the paperwork, the curriculum is fun and the classes are informative. I like many others chose ASU for the convince of being able be a distance learner at a reputable brick and mortar institution. I had a great experience. My professors and TA's were extremely helpful and actually taught classes. Online lectures were what you would expect if you were in an in class environment with added power point presentations.
