Mary Lou Fulton offers an alternative path to teaching. Whether you're starting a new career as an educator or are looking to improve your credentials, you will become more knowledgeable in education policy and practices. I enjoyed going through the program with my cohort, I really got to know my peers, and I worked with all of them in different ways throughout the two years. Arizona State University is a phenomenal university. I specifically attend the Mary Lou Fulton's Teacher's College. Classes are primarily practical with ideas and instruction that can be immediately applied in the student teaching aspect. Advisers and professors are accessible and knowledgeable.

The graduate program in Secondary Education at ASU has good intentions-- they want to help mold educators for our modern world, not just keep the same teaching styles from years past. However, the method in which the instructors teach is for the most part identical to the old methods of teaching. The professors could benefit from "practicing what they preach", and I have learned more from my substitute teaching than I have from my classroom instruction.
