This college is great. Texas Tech provides great opportunities in academics as well as in community outreach. The professors will vary, admittedly, and I highly suggest researching professors before you sign up to take any courses. Being well informed is important in any college situation. Financial aid can be a pain, and none of the offices really go out of their way to help you figure out your financials outside of making sure you pay your tuition, but again being informed and on top of things... I really enjoyed my time at Texas Tech. I think my one regret is not coming here straight out of high school because I wish I was more involved with student programs. All my professors have been amazing, and I've been more than comfortable with all of them to ask for help! All the professors are really passionate about the subjects they teach.

At Texas Tech University, most of the faculty want the students to succeed. As a psychology major who wanted to go to graduate school to pursue further study, I needed research experience. The only reason I knew this was because several professors were very vocal about what students should be doing to pursue our goals. Professors were very helpful; two of them reached out to me to offer me places in their research teams. Even if professors do not to go to that extent for all of their students, they... Read More

I loved that the town itself was not too big and not hard to learn (I was not originally from Lubbock). The campus is a good size and not too big. It is nice that once you start taking the classes more concentrated in your major, the classes are basically all in the same location. The gym is very nice and they offer a lot of classes on the side. One thing I really liked was you could attend all sports events by just swiping your school id card. No need to buy tickets or a "sports package" on top... Read More

Loved Texas Tech! Set me up for my future and was a lot of fun along the way. The psychology program afforded me several opportunities to get involved in research. This was crucial for my admittance into graduate school. The professors are fantastic and cared deeply about my growth.

Texas Tech is a great place for an undergrad degree in Psychology, however I am having to attend another university to get my Masters in Counseling degree. Texas Tech is a very diverse university, on a wonderful campus in Lubbock Texas. It may be far away from most things, but you will never be lacking in activities to be involved in. Tech is also well known for its engineering degrees, business and law school.
